J is in town and since she’s not that into shopping for clothes, cosmetics, or seeing the tourist attractions, there is still one thing that she is very fond of– food. This is why one of the things we went in search for on her first full day in Seoul was a tteokbokki dish that she had seen videos and read about. This research led us to the Tteokbokki Town in Sindang-dong. The “town” is more like a street – which is aptly named Tteokbokki-gil and has different restaurant serving about the same thing. But we went to the one that’s been said to be the best – 마복림. For a party of three, we paid 14,000 won and it had tteokbokki with eggs, ramyun, mandu, and rice noodles. It was pretty good and definitely an affordable meal.
