Jeju seems to have an abundance of beautiful waterfalls on its island. Cheonjiyeon is another of these waterfalls and aptly named “God’s pond.” Clearly the gods spent a lot of time in Jeju if the names of these waterfalls are any indication. The short little walk to the waterfall is surrounded by water, trees, and dolhareubangs (grandfather stones). The waterfall is said to be beautiful and amazing at night but somehow the atmosphere during the day had me a little wary of that as the place is crowded with tourists, Koreans and foreigners alike.
And after walking in a circle around the neighbourhood, we ended up back where we started and ate in a Korean restaurant by the entrance to the falls.
