I was in the area for a personal errand for my best friend when I decided to enter the memorial museum. It’s a free admission place to go and for a building that’s been there since the early 20th century, it’s in remarkable shape and condition.
This memorial museum shows the history of Korea’s first Western-style modern education institution. It also holds many of the old textbooks and pieces of furniture in its exhibits.
I loved this next room in particular – it shows the different institutions that now exist. And to turn on each one to learn more about it, one just needed to step onto the floorboards in front of it which set off a projector.
To visit this memorial museum, go to City Hall Station (Line 1 or 2) and exit 10. Walk straight and turn right at the GS25. The memorial hall will be on the left.
