Meiji Jingu

This Shinto shrine is quite popular and there were many people here during the afternoon that I went. Approximately 100,000 trees were donated when the shrine was first built in 1920 and now there’s a huge forest that surrounds the park and shrine. It’s also quite a walk from the first set of wooden gates to the actual shrine.

Sake, anyone?

I managed to catch the last bit of a classical Japanese instrument performance in the middle of the shrine when I got there.

Getting a little fortune at the shrine. The English edition seems to just have an inspirational/enlightening quote on it rather than an actual fortune. I shall take it and heed its warning/advice.
