Tokyo Imperial Palace and Gardens

The Imperial Palace in Tokyo is not open to the public. You can only look at it from the distance but part of the palace grounds and gardens are open to the public for free. It was a beautiful, sunny day to go for walk around the park and gardens. It was also fascinating for me to see these big roads – with traffic lights and everything – only for cyclists. It meant that the immediate roads surrounding the Tokyo palace grounds were relatively quiet and peaceful.
