Kuromon Market: Fresh Seafood in Osaka

If you’re in the mood for some amazing seafood in Osaka, I would highly recommend two restaurants at Kuromon Market.

The market sells a lot of things besides seafood – though that seems to be a main focus. But you can also find flowers, meat, household items, and many other things here.

The place that I was really keen on trying was Kuromon Sanpei. It doubles as a seafood market and a restaurant – you can buy whatever seafood or rice bowl and eat it right here. So it’s extra fresh.

We decided to go with the Hokkaioyako-don which has salmon sashimi, seaweed, and fish eggs.

It looks amazing – and tastes so fresh and delicious that you wouldn’t even believe how good it really is.

The side of miso soup isn’t just regular miso soup but has little bits of seafood in it as well.

Because of how amazing the meal was, we decided to return here a second time and enjoyed a nice meal of crab.

Literally, from the moment we started eating, we barely spoke because we were so focused on devouring the food.

The second place I’d like to introduce is Kushisei.

And what really attracted me to the place was the special deep-fried soft-shell crab burger they have.

Check out my little crab inside my burger.

Basically, I think my favourite meals in Osaka were from Kuromon Market. Delicious seafood at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit for everyone. Go go go!
