Paris is such a wonderful city for a bibliophile. Wonderful little bookshops and the little book stalls along the Seine River called bouquinistes. Absolutely loved exploring all these little places.
My favourite would have to be the English bookshop – Shakespeare and Company. It’s a multi-level bookstore that I hope to spend an entire afternoon in on my next visit. My travel companions this time around weren’t too keen on spending too much time in a bookstore.
I was hoping to find a French edition of my favourite Canadian novel – Anne of Green Gables – but it slipped my mind that Shakespeare and Company is an English bookstore. So instead, I just got a tote bag as a souvenir.
