A visit to the Maritimes is not complete with seafood.
The Water Prince Corner Shop
Our first proper meal in Charlottetown was The Water Prince Corner Shop which literally opened for the season just the day before we arrived. We were so grateful because this was one of the places we actually wanted to go to that was open. Most restaurants (most good restaurants) aren’t open for the season in early May when we were there. (Side note: We really do need to go back to the east coast at the appropriate time of the year when things are open.)
So anyways, for dinner, I started with some fresh oysters.
And then we both got lobsters which came with a bucket of mussels. One of these for each of us – as you can imagine we were getting pretty stuffed before our lobster even came.
It was definitely a good seafood meal to begin our short time in PEI.
The Gahan House
On this day, we were starving and finally decided on The Gahan Place. I went with the fish tacos (delicious!) and my friend went with the clam chowder.
Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar
For our last dinner, we decided to try a nicer restaurant in downtown Charlottetown. Here, I got a selection of their fresh raw oysters.
Our visit was too short and during our visit, many restaurants weren’t open for the season yet. I’d love to return to get my fill on raw oysters and fresh lobster.
